CATALOGUE LAUNCH AT PLANTS ON STURT

Thank you to our Paper Crafting friends who attended our launch of this years STAMPIN' UP  catalogues on the 9th of Sept at Plants on Sturt.
We had about 40 lovely ladies spend the afternoon with us. It was a great Venue and thanks to our host Sonja beautiful coffee and yummy cakes were available for us.
I worked very hard to make lots of items for our guests to view . Sharen and I demonstrated techniques that could be used in both scrapbooking and card making.

On Entry our guest were given a Rose brooch that I had made out of card stock. A little folded gift pocket, a lucky door entry form and a Number for the 'Piece of Cake' prizes. The lucky ladies who received these pieces of cake (Hubby joking tells people 'They tasted like Cardboard") won the prize that was inside the little boxes shaped like the sections of cake. They also were able to take the 'cake ' home too!!

Hi Friends, I thought you may like to see the videos of the Convention  aptlay named    'I AM'     I attended in Canberra a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW. Stampin' UP you certainly gave us Demonstrators a fun filled, mind blowing 3 day  experience. From the workshops , tutorials, demonstrations, prize giveaways, excellent speakers to the theme song ( that the USA, NZ and Australian staff sang and danced to) It was excellent.
Have a peep at the videos I have posted, highlights, and the 3 winners of the promotional videos that we, if we want to can make be submitted & judged.Humor seems to be a part of it . Well done to the winners. The Prizes are fantastic, If my memory serves me correctly I think 1st was $500 this year.
I have started saving in my lousy jar for next years convention, I don't want to miss it. Love the atmosphere of lots of creative people. And they were so creative.

A wedding card and some birthday cards for Special People.

This card I made for a special mans 80th Birthday. Kevin George Hein interior Decorator extrodonaire has been such an inspiration and help to me during my years as a Florist and Florist Shop owner. His knowledge of color  etc helped me through those years. I was his Piper during his time as Cheif of the Mount Gambier Caledonian Society,
I played at his weekend of Celebrations thus the scotch thistle on his card I made for him.  Happy Birthday K G.

Made for a Ladies 50th Birthday

note how the centre piece overlaps the rhs of the card.

A Wedding Card  White and Silver made with the Stampin Up stamp set Marry Me. I so love love love this stamp set.The wording is so gorgeous.

As I have said many times before, don't forget the envelope......it is the first thing the recipient sees and what a wonderful way to enhance your creativity by showing just a hint of what is inside of their card.

I have been busy making cards for some special friends birthdays, also for other peoples friends birthdays and weddings . The wind is blowing a gale here so it is the right time to sit and update the blog and sneak into my craft room without the guilt feeling ...but then there is always something to do other than the things that you love to do isn't there.......BUT today I am guilt free, Thanks to the wind.

Kids Craft day at the Beach Shack.

Our Junior crafty Kids Proudly showing their finished project.
Our Granddaughter Erin whilst holidaying at our beach shack wanted to do some card making......now I just wonder where she gets her love of craft from.......Her Mum is a fan of the Stampin' Up products and projects too.    Must be a family thing.
As there were little girls about her own age who had been playing together down here, when we were going to have a 'Card Day' those little girls agreed to join her in the fun. They were just brilliant, well behaved (could have had something to do with the popcorn and drinks I supplied ....heheh) and  very busy little scrappers. Think I will do that again quite soon. They were thrilled with their Easter Cards and book marks they made. The Easter Bunny on the Easter card  was made out of punched shapes and ink etc. and the Book mark was made with  Punched shapes to make a Frog. Thanks so much  kids I enjoyed the morning immensely. xx
We made these at a workshop before Christmas . The ladies loved them.

It is a Birdcage and bird book mark and cover. A useful and pretty gift anyone receiving this would be delighted.

The Bird was given a coat of Crystal Effects to give it dimension and shine. The Bird and leaf is from the Stampin'up Bird Builder Punch. The white paper behind the bird was done with the Stampin'up Crimper . The Stamping on the book mark was done with a Stampin' Up Stampin' around Wheel stamp. and the punch used for the hole at the top was done with a Crop-a-dile. What an amazing tool that is.... goes through lots of thickness's of Cardstock and even chipboard just like butter.

Note the feathers at the bottom of the cage, that was my warped sense of humor..... The bird escaped from the cage and is sitting in the branch of a tree...
The Rose is made of Copper shim and embossed with the Stampin'up Big Shot.

Inexpensive Gifties.

Cake Mix packet and sprinkles gift

great little inexpensive gift

just right to take with you on a hospital visit to a freind. It has a box of tissues tooth brush and deodorant.

AND FOR THE GARDENER.

Seeds and Snail Bait.
I found these a most popular project for our classes. Simple to make but with a little imagination many other project come to mind....hmmmm for the choc-a-holic.....choccies... For the lady who love to clean perhaps some cleaning products. Even Scrapbookers could be catered for. Hint . Hint...
